This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of character education management through extracurricular scouting activities in shaping students' characters. Scouting activities are strategically organized to instill character values, nationalism, and patriotism in students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data are collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The validity of the data is guaranteed through source triangulation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the findings. The results of the study indicate that the scouting-based character education process runs well and is based on the principles of Trisatya and Dasadarma Scouts. One of the main methods applied is outdoor activities, which not only increase students' closeness to the environment but also facilitate the application of character values ??in real situations. This scouting program is considered effective based on several criteria, including the suitability of activity objectives with character formation targets, routine program implementation every week, and monitoring and evaluation carried out by the Deputy for Student Affairs, Scout Leaders, and the Ambalan Council. Monitoring includes checking attendance lists, preparing activities, dividing tasks, and supervising the development of student attitudes. However, this study also identified several obstacles in the implementation of the program, such as less supportive weather factors, limited funds, lack of supporting media, lack of student management skills during learning, and minimal adequate facilities and infrastructure. In addition, full support from parents is one of the important elements needed to ensure the success of this scouting-based character education program.
