Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengenai rendahnya Islamic financial literacy di Indonesia yang berdampak pada rendahnya penggunaan bank Syariah. Terdapat strategi dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) untuk meningkatkan financial literacy di Indonesia melalui “Indonesian Financial Literacy National Strategy” dengan menitikberatkan pada kegiatan peningkatan financial literacy pada kelompok tertentu, salah satunya adalah mahasiswa. Meskipun demikian, indeks financial literacy generasi Z di Indonesia masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh rendahnya pengetahuan keuangan yang menyebabkan seseorang mudah terjebak dalam melakukan investasi yang menawarkan keuntungan yang menggiurkan dalam jangka waktu yang pendek tanpa mempertimbangkan risikonya. Oleh karena itu, literasi keuangan sangat penting untuk membangun perilaku keuangan yang akan mengarah pada kemakmuran di masa depan.
